Re: If you had the money what would you do to your truck?

Stuff that's NOT on the current to-do list:

1. 4L80E transmission swap.
2. Some serious suspension work. Not sure if it would be bags or a different spring setup.

Re: If you had the money what would you do to your truck?

Well, along with all the paint and body work....the 72' would get a LS3 drivetrain and suspension package! The 70' would get a LS7 drivetrain, and a 6 stall dream garage, so I can buy two more!!

I would buy everyone a 67-72 truck, who wouldn't what that? (just wishful thinking it'll probably never happen)

Take her apart and do a complete resto while adding some invisible modern upgraded parts. I love the stock look with modern upgrades.

Re: If you had the money what would you do to your truck?

Hmmm, I typed out a rather lengthy reply to this question, then I lost my internet connection before I could hit the "post reply" button.

Aaaarrrrrgh ! I hate when that happens..I'm too lazy to re-type the whole thing so here's my short answer... I would just do a complete restoration of the C-20...basically new "everything". I have ideas that have been floating around in my mind for years... new sheetmetal, new suspension, fresh paint, re-build the 292 and change rearend ratio to something that doesn't make the engine scream at highway speed. Most important, make it comfortable to drive, these old bones don't tolorate getting bounced around as much as when I was younger. And if it turned out really good, and I was satisfied with the finished project, I would just drive it til the end of my days here.

I wouldn't be upset that it will burn an 1/8th of a tank idling for 20 minutes anymore.

Re: If you had the money what would you do to your truck?

I don't need money, I need my laziness removed.

That and not being certain about using modern paints with isocyanates w/o gassing myself. I read a lot of conflicting info.

Beyond that, add A/C
Or, put some 1 ton diffs under it.
