Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Very nice! I love the pinch shaved...even if the truck isn't laying frame I just think it looks better because that pinch is the lowest point in the lower body line...

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
How about a breakdown of the porterbuilt goodies? Step notch, crossmember, a-arms, etc?

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Well got some of the "itch" taken care of this wkend--sort of---Got most of the PB stuff in epoxy-Don't laugh at my parts hanger-works flawlessly-Thanks to my attic mounted hoist and a few accessories!! The bungees just stabilize-hoist does work!! When done it easily disappears !!.
Trying to get most of this done before vacation-My swapmeet schedule kicks back in soon after for the Fall season---Some of u know (and the rest of u will now) that I am the owner and promoter of North Houston (Humble) swapmeets and Conroe also--Going to get busy very soon!! A couple of weeks from now I am going to offer a special swapmeet deal for board members here--Stay tuned-and have a good week!! jim |

Re: 68 aka "Chained in Porterbuilt Prison"
Ok guys and gals--need to apologize for starting this thread and leaving it hanging for almost 2 months--Vacation-swapmeets--and what's in the pics below have had me tied!! Probably expecting frame progress but as i was waiting on Nate's stuff -I started on the cab --I've had this change in my head for 3 years-WARNING --U NON-MOLESTERS NEED TO TURN THE CHANNEL--
I've done every dash option possible for the stock c10 dash over the years but i never liked the flatness-love the truck-just not the dash--SO here we go-- 2 "55" belairs donated their dash--2 c10 doors donated some skin-and U can guess the rest--Still in early stages-Dash was made to remove ONCE for lower body work and then be welded in at windshield when reinstalled-upper part of dash between clusters is not as flat as will be when permanent--more original holes to fill--will fill ya'll in later on hardware placement........jim |

Man, that's unreal! I am entertaining modifying my dash as well, but nothing near this extreme. I am looking forward to seeing what this ride looks like after you are finished. Keep up the awesome work.

Super nice metal work on the dash fabrication! Like the ssr console idea too. Try not to leave it hanging for two months again
