Re: 84- BIG DROP,BIG BLOCK,daily driver ;-))

ive decided to not attemp the paint job with my friend! i talked to a man a few miles from my parents who has a very nice shop in his backyard and he has been painting for 22 yrs so im going to let him do it. It all about taking pride but like i said before,i did the body work so im happy. He is going to primer seal it, remove the bed,and paint it using my hot rod flatz custom blood red for $800. H said he would go over everything and get it almost perfect.
The color of my paint is actually 1/4 hugger orange mixed with 3/4 blood red to almost exactly match the color red that i started with when it was red and gray! I need my wheels to get here so i can drop it more also. Over the next few weeks while he is painting it im going to be painting all my interior and ordering small things i need such as new window and vent seals, carb rebuild kit, cherry bomb extreme mufflers, trailer fenders, etc.. etc...

Re: 84- BIG DROP,BIG BLOCK,daily driver ;-))

I was having a lot of heat under the hood due to my custom made shorty headers and my starter would overhead so I installed header wraps today and they turned out amazing! They look great and I guess time will tell how they hold up!

im talkin about the rockstars, u were talkin about the 22s? i traded them for these 20s! these wheels are 10-14lbs lighter then the 22s! Im happy with these on the truck and is exactly what i wanted and didnt even know it until i installed them! I cant wait for the paint! ill finally be happy!

Re: 84- BIG DROP,BIG BLOCK,daily driver ;-))

Naw,I'm not like all those! I have the front roll pan, painted grill, shaved ****,and a 454! I want to keep the hot rod theme so that's why I wanted these wheels! Ill really stand out when I buy my burban back! But seriously, the 225s are a lot more rare then those damn 338s and torq thust wheels! I can't believe u don't like them! I think u need a set lol

Re: 84- BIG DROP,BIG BLOCK,daily driver ;-))

I say go with something different also. I have been looking online at the dip heat and rockstar wheels after reading your thread. So are you still going with the rockstars? I want 22's and notice they make a staggered width 9.5 and 12. Not sure if that would work on our trucks. What do you guys think?
