You can change just the speedo part and put the old face on the newer gauge.

I thought of that too, and did some comparing, but it seems that the needle is in different locations for that... I'll have to see if I can move the VSS over, or my other option is to buy some white gauge overlays eventualy

Grim: I have busted a passengerside drop NP241C. I busted the case, and the nearest suitable was found in Sweden, of all places. About the electronic speedometer, it is a 1989 introduction, to 1990 MY trucks. Don't know about the 4l80, never have seen one and don't believe it exists.
