....injectors in, fuel rails, pump, and regulator all plumbed...coils, brackets, and alternator cleaned up and painted.

wire wheeled 50 some years of paint off the bumper and grill....and gave it a fresh coat of white...no more silver....

installed some new plugs and wires, and got the ol' gmc fired up, and then the trans pooped the bed for some unknown reason, so we spent the day getting a replacement and putting it in...

got the exhaust finished as well...this was before I found out the tranny was junk....I love that flowmaster x-pipe kit!

I wire wheeled about 10 layers of paint off the roof and gave it a fresh one of white. still have to "weather" it some...

Nice build! Have a question about getting your paint off.. Did you use a wire wheel on a die grinder hooked up to an air compressor or a 4.5" angle grinder? Very off topic, sorry, but I love the build and how it looks!

a little update...so we were having some drivability issues with ol' blue after the swap last fall and we didn't get much time to drive it, but my son has had it out for a week or so and found a guy that could tune it so he had him do it on Sunday and he found the problem/s....first of all it was tuned for a 4.3 v6..?(thank you PSI) and it was running really rich at idle and dangerously lean mid range. he corrected those issues and now it runs like a champ!
