Then the vintage air kit arrived and as Geezer predicted I do need to remove one of the plugs from the intake and go buy some 5/8 barbs now.

And it looks like I also need to buy a different water pump since this one that I just painted and installed only has 1 heater hose port.

Nope you just don't need the hose you just installed, install the vintage air to either side of the pump and intake and you should be good.

And if you are using the non Vortec water pump, just a standard long pump, did you drill out the hole and thread a plug in it where it mounts to the block on the pass side?
