Re: movie trucks
I completely avoided the list! I liked the beautiful green (crap, it was actually red! My brain is soft! It was still a nice truck!) chevy Bill Murray crashed after he stole the groundhog in Groundhog Day, I remember being really pissed when I saw it go over the edge and pancake in the bottom of the quarry! I hope they didn't really crash the cherry truck he was driving around, I hope they used a thrashed stunt double for the one that crashed!

Re: movie trucks
I always wondered if any Chevy/GMC lovers are allowed to take all the removable parts like glove box doors, ashtrays, instrument panels, etc before they ruin those trucks in the movies? If I worked for a movie studio I would push the director to use old Fords in scenes where the truck is to be crashed! Not only would it save a lot of GMs, it would get those old Fords out of our way!

Re: movie trucks
if you are gonna bash a truck, do it to a toyota or what not. i'm a chevy guy when it comes to trucks but some of those 50's Ford are really beautiful and even the later generations worked every bit as hard as our chevys to get where they are. but i do hear you on the wrecking of our beloved 67-72 gm trucks and any other nice condition vintage car/truck that didn't deserve the end it got.
as a side note, i generally get thumbs up from the Harley crowd when i'm out on my 72 cb350 twin. |

Re: movie trucks
My truck was used in a few different X-files tv show episodes before I bought it from the movie studio in California. I guess is was used in a lot of tv shows and a early Chevrolet Commercial. My truck used to look a lot different then. Here is a early pick and a now.

Re: movie trucks
Yeah, That is pretty darn RAD isnt it! Wonder what transmission would allow the reverse gears to get up to speed? Love to see the interior!

Re: movie trucks
No pictures to show, but the TV show Rosanne had a '71 or '72 C-10. One episode, Dan was repairing it with a friend. IIRC, it was in the opening credits also.
