Well they are located in San diego Cali I think and they get alot of there parts form Dyancorn wich is a company in sunny Canada. I am not sure where they are produced but as for heavier then stock I just wieghed my origianl tailgate and the new one I got and there is a 10 pound diffrence as stated above. I have ordered a grille shell and inner grill for my 71 and they fit well along with the chrome bumpers and those seem to be the same thickness and look good too. I also ordered a grille insert for my 69 Chevelle and that fit well. But the chrome I ordered for the Chevelle grille needed a little modification but nothing major the studs didn't line up with the holes in the grille insert.

Thanks for the information. I am surprised they do not indicate the parts are GM licensed or approved. GM usually has a low tolerance for trademark violations.

I just talked to Ed from Mothertruckers and he sounds like a super nice guy. I'll definitely be making a trip down to their shop soon to get my gate. He assured me that they stand behind their products and if anything goes wrong they will fix it. Heck, on their website it even says they will replace plus pay shipping both ways on any product if you are not 100% satisfied. How many other companies do you know of that does that?
