Re: "BIG" truck forum C/40, C/50, C/60 and the like...
There is a real interest in medium duty trucks. Our site is fantastic for everything you even thought you might want to know about one ton and under Chevy and GMC trucks. Since starting work on a '71 K5 Blazer and a '72 C30 Longhorn, I would be lost w/o referencing several threads here at our site.
But when it comes to info, both tech and general, for medium size trucks up through the early 70's, I must go to Stovebolt.com. It would be great to be able to access our site for like information. Once folks realize that the site addresses medium duty trucks, and it will take time for word of mouth recognition, i would think that the the medium duty truck forum would grow exponentially. Realize now that i am also partial to medium duty trucks. i have two chevy 2 ton trucks, one a dump bed (6100) and one a stake bed (6500). Not to forget C.O.E.'s. For when i find a 1954 COE for a 5th wheel setup, truck life as i know it will be complete. BTW an earlier COE body on a pickup frame makes for one styl'n pickup truck. |

Re: "BIG" truck forum C/40, C/50, C/60 and the like...
I'd love to see a dedicated section. I own a '68 C50 and I love it (she's a beast!). I purchased a foreclosure 3 years ago and it was abandoned on the property. I've had to rewire the electrical, get the brakes up and going and clean the carb and a tune up and it has all sorts of power. Dump works like a dream. Needs some TLC with some body work and a paint job but mechanically it is very sound.
As the tires wear, I'm changing out the "widow makers". I'd like to keep it for years to come. |

Here's my "big" truck. It's a '66 C80 with the 366 V8 and little Spicer 3152F 5speed. Going to try my best to restore it, but I'm having trouble finding parts in the northeast. If anyone knows of any good yards in NY or PA, please let me know!

Big trucks don't rock, they just carry them.

A big truck forum would be great. I have a 74 GMC 6500 with a great running 454 and 2 speed rear end. It's an old garbage truck that's begging to become a flatbed one day.

I have come across something almost exactly like this. I want to own one, I could see some earning potential too.
A new forum would be a good idea in my humble opinion, all the years combined into a medium duty forum, at the very least. |

I have a 1967 C50 dump bed that I have begun restoring and would like to see a forum dedicated to these trucks.

We NEED a medium duty forum section; It can only be beneficial.
In the meantime please post any/all links concerning 73 and newer medium (or even heavy duty) gm trucks. |

I like the big trucks! We have a 45 International 2 -1/2 ton military nose, line bed. Has a front and rear pto winch with a 1/2 mile of cable . It was a power line stretcher -A ten wheeler And all wheel drive! A great ranch truck. sorry, I never took any pics of it.
