Being a camaro owner, I'm a member on a 2nd gen forum. Most guys say the ebay lights are junk and bulk of them use hella's lights.

Re: Has anybody tried these yet ???
IDK bout these in particular, but the ones I'm running in my truck now came from eBay & I have no problem with them
Now these could be total junk, but I'm willing to be the guinea pig here & test them |

Re: Has anybody tried these yet ???
I bought a pair for the 69 on Evilbay about 6 months ago and they work great. They aren't the black ones though, they are mirrored. Also, I made sure that the lenses were glass before I bought them, and they they are indeed H-4s. I had heard stories of people getting screwed. I'll take some pics when its not 1:30 am.

It is not worth doing unless you are going to do it right the first time. Trust me. I spent more on the headlights for the 4th Gen. Camaro's than anything else (1993-1997). They are notorious for having poor headlights, and I hashed out several options. The setup that is posted at SUV Lights is a great setup. When buying headlights - it is ALWAYS better to go with a brand name. Hella, Sylvania, Osram, PIAA, and a few others will bring you results. The black "projector" lenses in that auction are probably not too good in terms of output. The quality of the product itself may be ok, but lighting output is what you want. Think about it for a second. You are taking you light, putting it in an area the size of a tangerine, giving it little reflection area, and trying to intensify it somehow. There's no logic there. It's all appearance. The reason Pl4yboy's work is because he still has the reflective housing - not a sealed "projector" cap around the bulb. Projector headlights are made to do what they do. You aren't going to get that effect out of a "sealed beam" housing and a add-on bulb. You need something like that SUV Lights kit. They have to be projectors to project. Otherwise, you can always apply the rule of thumb - the better the reflection area, and sized correctly, you will have brighter lights. You want good bright lights? Get some good clear housings (Hella preferably) that you can put some regular old CLEAR high wattage bulbs in. (Luks - http://lightingresearch.com/store/in...340d08f88fab8f) If you want pretty lights, that are still pretty good output - get the same clear housings that have the highly reflective surface and put in your preferred color of high wattage bulbs made by a good brand - like Hella, Nokya, PIAA, Raybrig, or *Optilux if choosing White (these cost more money because they are good). Want to look good? Just do what you want - your headlights will suffer for it. *Optilux is a Hella owned company. Hella products are just about all produced in Germany with high standards, but the Optilux line is produced in China with a lower standard, so they are a lot cheaper, and you will buy 5 times as many sets of their bulbs as a standard Hella. Re: Has anybody tried these yet ???
Thanks Orange, I agree with you completely
I just think they look cool, & I need some new lights for my truck As much as I would love to have "real" projectors, I can't afford them yet So if these will be as bright as the ones in there now, I'll be happy for a while |

If it's the former you're after....check with SUVlights.com they have both free-form reflector models and projectors in the 7" format. If it's the later- troll your local Wal-Mart.

Re: Has anybody tried these yet ???
Hye spraybomb, can u tell me / all of us when u get those in, i would really like to know if the lens is glass or plastic, and if they look of good or at least acceptable quality, lol. For 33 bucks, for a pair, thats pretty blasted chep, and i have been wanting something like this for, well, since i bought my truck. I was originally gonna try and fashion some of my own since my sister drove her car into someone elses, and she had to get the headlights replaced, even though it was just mounting tab damage, but they have the nice projection lamps that i wanted...hope u get em soon, those look awesome...

Re: Has anybody tried these yet ???
If you want brighter light go to Advance Auto and get the Silverstar halogen lights.
You can catch them on sale. I have them in my 75 Elcamino. SUPER bright. Love them.
