Here's how I solved your dilemma, but it wasn't cheap, quick, or easy.

I bought my 72, 2wd blazer when my son was 6mnths old. This was the primary reason for doing so. I'll admit that it wasn't cheap, but it was worth every penny. We now also have a 18mnth old girl and one more on the way. We all cruise in it as a family when ever we can. Just my 2cents

That's a seriously nice blazer!

That's why I was suggesting the 60's to early 70's wagons and the cool looking 4 doors... nice blazers tend to be higher priced than 67-72 trucks. The burbs are usually cheaper, but it's actually hard to find a really nice one, I can't recall the last time I've seen one in person aside from the huge Autofair in Charlotte. There was a small local show yesterday with about 100 cars. About 10 wagons showed up, they're getting to be more popular. The coolest one was a 60 impala wagon and a 51 chevy wagon done up to look like a woody wagon (fake wood paint, but it looked real.)

Probably about half of what your asking for yours. There are some things I can do to help the value, and these are things I'll do weather I sell it or not. I did get rid of the points distributor, replaced it with a nice new MSD HEI distributor, and MSD wires.

A Blazer is something I've always wanted, but finding a driver in my current price range would be a challenge.

And the wagon idea sounds good too, I really love the look of 60's and early 70's wagons.

Re: Thinking about getting rid of the truck already

I would go with a 'burb or older wagon. I have a Blazer and honestly haven't felt real comfortable about putting both kids (3 and 1) in car seats in the back. They are just too high up and the fiberglass top isn't going to save them in any serious accident. Just my 2 cents. If they were older if wouldn't be as much of an issue. I'm probably over thinking it but would never forgive myself if something happened. This and just wanted something totally different is the reason I bought my '39 Ford Sedan and will probably get rid of the Blazer. And yes, it's a '72 2 wheel drive.

All I got is what you see in the pictures , and beyond that I don't think I could afford to get it here. I looked you up, me thinking...... Canada, Ohio, they're close, wasn't thinking about how far you actually could be If there was a way to make it happen, I would certainly be in.

Re: Thinking about getting rid of the truck already

Here's some great examples of alternatives - from the 2012 Good Guys in Des Moines.

You gotta love a 427 on Bags!!

And IF I had the money myself, I'd trade my Burb for this, ANY DAY!!
