Re: Hello from Prescott, Arizona
Suppose I should start a new thread: Redneck gravel driveway mechanically challenged amateur chronicles.
I would have thought changing out the transmission mount would have been easy, but NOooooo, Murphy's Law raised it's head, again. I'm surprised the truck wasn't shaking and clunking when I saw what was left. Good thing I had this solid jack stand. Good thing I have a Dremel tool, it has saved my stupid butt so many times! One of the bolt's nut in the rubber was spinning, had to take desperate measures. I'm sure this never happens to the professionals. Damn, every time I get underneath, find another project to do. LOL

Re: Hello from Prescott, Arizona
One of my first rat rod modifications was to add a hood brace. Price was great!
I replaced the hood seal rubber, my level of mechanical expertise. I also have done a cheapskate "repair" of plugging firewall holes with Celluclay, figuring it was easy to remove whenever I restore to Pebble Beach concours standards. But.... after spraying oil on the hood hinges, the hood gap now looks like this. WTF?

Re: Hello from Prescott, Arizona
Throwing junk into the bed. On this day, there is an aluminum C-channel that I bought at a salvage yard.
Couldn't justify posting this in the What Did You Do To Your Truck Today thread. Was tired of the tool box latch bending, left over piece of the aluminum C-channel that was used for a new mailbox post. Couldn't justify posting in the What Did Your Truck Haul Today thread, since the bike was unloaded. Nor removing the mud flaps for the other thread. LOL

Re: Hello from Prescott, Arizona
Older picture, had to take my '69 with the '48. LOL I wouldn't mind having an Advanced Design again, but not like the rolling wreck I had.

Re: Hello from Prescott, Arizona
Priorities changed recently..... The Green Barge fired right up today, ran like a champ. This bridge was near a place where I picked some things up.

Re: Hello from Prescott, Arizona
Great, the drawback of posting pictures on hosting sites that are not kept up to date. When Flickr screwed up their website, some of us tried Ipernity.
I stayed with Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/530741...57652116597102
