Re: JWall's 72 C-10
That thing is looking good on the rack... if you're like me, you can't wait until it gets nicer outside.

Re: JWall's 72 C-10
Well I've been out doing some more cleaning & detailing getting ready for the Starbird Show in a couple of weeks and thought I'd share some pics....
The pics are the best since they arent in the garage but there is 6" of snow on the ground so its not going outside... I got new carpet & gas tank carpet from Wes @ Classic Heartbeat... I got a few more things painted and cleaned up under the hood... I put my 1972 Oklahoma Plate on... I also had put on new taillight & reverse lenses this week... I got new decals for the rally wheels to eliminate the gold bowtie... Last edited by JWall; 01-30-2010 at 04:07 PM. |

Re: JWall's 72 C-10
This go round I painted the hood latch assembly, I repainted the radiator support cover (the last paint job I did on it was too shiney), & the air cleaner.

Re: JWall's 72 C-10
The pieces turned out nice, what process/paint did you use?

Re: JWall's 72 C-10
I am just using a Lowes satin black paint.
The rad. cover and the air cleaner I had shot recently so I just cleaned up and re-shot another coat on them. The hood latch I cleaned up with laquer thinner to get some cast colored paint someone had used on it before off & some grease & grime, then I shot it with same satin black. It came out good and matched the radiator support and other pieces well. |

Your truck's paint is very sharp. Any plans to finish off the Cheyenne Super theme later on? Trevor

Re: JWall's 72 C-10
Well the garage wont warm up enough today to get anything else done so I covered her up and will wait til next weekend to finish her up.
This is my cover...Its a Cal Car Covers StormWeave Cover that was actually made for the 94 I had but it fits the 72 good until I get a new one. The mirror pockets are off but I really dont need them on the 72. |

Looking at the reflections in the paint, that looks like a nice paint job. Looking good.

Re: JWall's 72 C-10
I put my new door sills in today.... oh and some new floor mats.
The previous owner had put the door sills with the bowtie's in them on the truck. I like these better... And then the supervisor stopped by to inspect the situation... |
