Used the art kit for an s10 the upper link did not work for me. The quality was good but didnt work in my applacation. I kept the lower rods mounting points ect. But the upper rods I went with half of an tri 4-link setup. I also boxed the frame and moved the rearend back 3 inches. I dont recall how wide the rearend is 60 inches? I know it was within an inch of the stock one. The coresupport is made out of steel tubing.

I got the running boards shortened. I took 3 inches out of them. Also shortened the filler plates. I used fusor t21 and bonded the fiberglass running boards back togerther. Primed with omni mp170 epoxy then k36 surfacer Thought id share some pictures.

I've got the same question here! I pushed my rad WAY out at the bottom to clear when I used the stock one. I trimmed back the bottom air dam from the grill. I'm starting another AD/S10 now and am looking for options.

Lots of block sanding on the rear fenders ichy fiberglass. I sprayed the inside of both of them with HERCULINER to help wth flying rocks.

Picture of the seat a start atleast. I cut one spring in half was not thinking might have to visit the u pull yard of mabe somone knows where you can get replacement springs for a 72 chevy truck seat. I mounted it in the cab and the ajustment handle is out the door so that will have to be changed or i may go with a power ajust time will tell so much other things to do.

New or should I say new used Hood. Has been primed with epoxy and surfacer but no pics.

I would like to help you on the core support but the hood is mounted and has no springs on it to hold it up so if you could imagine not to posable to take a pic of that right now.

Pictures of some body off restos iv done. 72 chevy custom 20 350/350 390 hp wood bed bucket seats ac. 76 GMC 35s 4inch lift 350/350 Pro-flo fuel inj. I started the 72 when I was in Highschool. Took two years The summer I graduated I completed it. The 76 took 9 months talk about long days college work and then the project. It was worh it.

How about some more pics of your truck from the side? I'd love to see more of how it looks on a short bed s10 chassis with a shortened bed. I'm asking cause there seem to be about 10 shortbed s10's in my area for sale for practically nothing and only a few long bed reg cabs...

I moved the rear axle back. Its no longer a true short s-10. The running board filler plates sectioned 2.75 inches. And I took 3.0 inches out of the running board.

With all do respect. Get the correct frame. Or better yet use the stock one do the math on this Mr. Trucker. Pannel fitment is a beast with the s-10 frame. Narrow frontend. You have to make mounts to mount cab ect. Then the rearend still is not correct to narrow. Price a mustang 2 setup. Then price all new front end componnts for the s-10. Darn near the same arnt they. I know in going to get proved wrong on this one I dont mean to start anyting also Thanks.

I hear ya - it just looked like you just chopped a couple extra inches off the bed and it all fit, that's why I finally had to ask.

I'm probably going to do an S10 swap because my frame is tweaked and I dont trust it. And rather than spend a ton of money getting a new AD frame, an MII front end, and a new rear suspension - an S10 makes too much sense. And since I'm starting with a long bed '53 I'm going to have to cut my bed down anyways.

I agree, the sheetmetal fitment is the hardest part of the whole swap. Especially if going to paint it. If just gonna ruff it in, it wouldnt be too bad.

I wanted two inch wider rear fenders. They are only made in fiberglass. It depends what you mean by better to use.?.

I've got a local guy that swears by the glass fenders. He drives his truck year round here in MI so it's a must. Salt sux.
