Re: Anyone: Delco Pleasur-lift air shocks w POWER PAC compressor?
Well I brought the pump to work today and we hooked it up to a small vacuum pump we have and it worked for a while then quit.
I took it a part and cleaned everything real good and then lubed everything good before reassembly. Put the vacuum pump back on it and it worked like a charm. When you turn the vacuum on it will fill the air shocks up are in my case the air bags and then you shut the air valve off and it just sit's there until you turn it on again.

Re: Anyone: Delco Pleasur-lift air shocks w POWER PAC compressor?
I'm looking forward to seeing the setup installed! I gather the vacuum pump drives a cylinder that intakes air, which is then diverted to the rear shocks through the controller?
I'd also like to see pics of the GM Superlift shock option that some 67-72 trucks were outfitted with. Anyone?

DeadheadNM,
Here is a picture of the pump and me explaining it best I can. You can take it a part and look at it. Nothing major except the rubber seal. You don't want it to rip. I took mine totally apart and cleaned it good.

However you could probably use the controller for some airbags if you needed more load capacity. Does anyone remember seeing the Superlifts (RPO G66) in the assembly manual?

Also, while looking through the lengthy thread on SPIDs I saw a couple listing the "superlift" shock option but came up short in a search for pics of trucks outfitted as such. I'd like to know a little bit more about this seemingly rare option. I do not recall any illustrations of superlift installs in the assembly manual.

Re: Anyone: Delco Pleasur-lift air shocks w POWER PAC compressor?
I got the compressor yesterday and got it wired up to a 12 volt battery in the garage with jumpers. Cleaned the guage up and lubed the o-rings and got everything working. I just have to mount the compressor and a momentary switch to it. Hope to work on it this weekend.
The compressor is hardly loud enough to tell it's running but pumps pretty good.

Re: Anyone: Delco Pleasur-lift air shocks w POWER PAC compressor?
Got out in the garage tonight for a little while. Got the relay that was with the compressor hooked up and running the compressor now like it's suppose to. Going to get started mounting the compressor tomorrow I hope.
Got to get a momentary switch for it and the hose. Waiting on it to come by UPS. I'll take some pictures tomorrow of it installed I hope! Thinking I will drill a small hole on the control panel and mount the momentary switch so it only comes on when I have my finger on it, this way no worry about blowing the bags out. Also want have any new dash holes either.

Re: Anyone: Delco Pleasur-lift air shocks w POWER PAC compressor?
I could put any kind of switch on it that I want now with the relay carring the load of the compressor the switch want see hardly any amps but I was scared if I put a toggle switch on it I would forget it and it blow the bags out. The stock vacum pump is auto matic. Once the car is cranked the vacum pump will run until you turn the knob. Then it just shuts the vacum pump off.

Re: Anyone: Delco Pleasur-lift air shocks w POWER PAC compressor?
As the lyric's of a old song go "I'm getting closer to my home"...
I got the compressor mounted and wired and got the pleasure-lift air gauge and momentary switch mounted in the truck this afternoon after work.I wired it and it works so all I need now is air hose and I'm good to go. I hope to be finished by Sunday.

One major big change was the Park Ave compressor wouldn't even put pressure on the line so I ended up putting a cheap 12 volt compressor I had under the truck. It's noisy but it works. I may end up buying a compressor later though.
