yellow72custom, The LS1 is at least 200 lbs. lighter than an all iron SBC.
Jay-dawg, The intake places the filter right behind my headlight. It keeps the engine from sucking hot radiator air. Thanks for all the response guys!

I know you dont want to go in to detail about how you installed that sweet motor in your PU, and i know half of the guys already know but, i just got my 67 and in the future i want an LT or LS in my 67 GMC i always see crashed cop Caprices in my local Auto Trader, pretty cheap, just one question do i have to make custom motor mounts? As i explore deeper into these cool trucks i will come to know. thnks.

I guess I have a few questions to answer.
Paintpyro, I'm in the south bay area of Los Angeles. Keepontruckin, For my motor mounts I used the factory corvette fluid mounts and brackets. The brackets bolt onto the side of the block and extend down 45 degrees. That makes the mounting pads parallel with the ground. Then the round rubber mounts bolt vertically on those. I cut the brackets and took 22 degrees out of each and 1/2 inch of height. That put them at the same anlges as my crossmember has. I then drilled two holes in the crossmember and there you have it. You can buy adapter plates from Street and Performance to use your stock motor mounts if you want. I didn't do it this way because they interfered with the corvette exhaust manifolds. Hope that makes sense. Truckster, I think the total install was around 4-5K(without turbos). I bought the motor complete, 30K miles, all accessories, manifolds, harness, computer, and A/C for 2K.

That's one sweet LS1 swap you got there! I know firsthand just how awesome these LS1's are since I also have a 98 Camaro SS.
I take it you didn't have to cut on the frame any to make room for the accessories?

Zurbo, I didn't have to cut away any part of the frame for clearance. Once I installed a camaro oil pan it fit like a glove. There are no tight spots. It's just like it was supposed to be there.
6T9GMC, The exhaust shop in next week! I can't wait too. I've got some custom Greddy mufflers that will sound awesome! Each one is meant for a high-horsepower, turbo-charged Supra. It might be the most unique sounding V8 around. I'll see about posting some sound clips in the coming weeks.
