Other than that car, though, I was talking to my wife about this issue and I decided to ask her to sell all of my stuff if I die. She asked why, and I explained I didn't want some other asshole driving my cars. She answered "What makes you think I'd marry another asshole?"

Tom Lowe. [no link]
Sometimes Tom Langdon's www.langdonsstovebolt.com [p/n: 15-0292]. Maybe Cliffords www.cliffordperformance.com ? OK: Cliffords does not have the side lifter covers, but has some other hard candy in their jars.

Looks like Tom Langdon no longer lists that part. I think this is a newer batch that has the forward plate milled thru the fins and a cup polished for the bulge of an HEI distributor. Clifford seems to be leaning toward a 2bbl Weber rig, [even for 292s] in complete packages... To get back to the subject of the original post: What carb was that on that black-and-silver turbo job? [Looked like a Holley or clone.]

Re: One hot 292
I didn't know Demons were made by Holley. I thought it was a clone brand. Made offshore but compatible with Holley's system.
Looks like the lowest CFM you could get was a 625. I guess that's big enough for a 292 @ .060 over = 300 ['301' is what Santucci calls it so as not to be confused with the Ford 300.]

Looking on Tom Lowe's site, I saw he modifies 4-bbl Holley carbs into 3-bbl carbs and downsizes them. [2 primaries and one big secondary.] A 600 CFM becomes a 450 CFM. A 750 CFM becomes a 562 CFM. The kit to modify your own Holley is $25. $350 for the whole carb, a modified aluminum 600 CFM Holley. [Looks like a 4160 model] Still cheaper than Jeg's 390 CFM 4160 p/n 8007 Holley 4-bbl at $488.95. But an Edelbrock 1404, 500 CFM 4-bbl is $330, so why mess with Holleys at all?
