Re: "Rice Rocket'

probably fab up a cross member/drive shaft extenstion (i dont know how big a 3 speed is), but mybe its the same size as the 3 ott? you already have a clutch pedal. Mybe someone that has done the swap will chime in

Re: "Rice Rocket'

Which type of 4 speed, truck or Muncie? The muncies are pretty long if I remember correctly. One might fit in the stock location.

Re: "Rice Rocket'

The T5 is the 5 speed that came in 3rd (and possibly 4th?) gen f bodies and maybe other vehicles too. I hear that people have good luck with them, while others keep blowing them up. I think it would be fine behind a mild motor if you didn't drive like a bat out of hell. Another member on here, Brad, has a T5 behind the six in his truck

Re: "Rice Rocket'

i put a saginaw 4 speed out of a 67 camaro in my 68 (it was a 3 on the tree) all i needed was the input shaft bearing retainer off the 3 speed and i uses the same bellhousing and drive line. (it bolted right in) there are a few pics in my build thread
