Re: Seats ???

Im not sure what they are out of, but I would like to find something diffrent,I like the feel of the buckets but like the bench type set up better. looks like the silveraldo 60/40 would be a good choice- are there any modifications or can they just be bolted down? thanks

Re: Show us you're seats

2001 f*rd excursion eddie bauer buckets recovered
they are heavy but they are comfortable
they also have lumbar support
and fit perfectly all you have to do is sit them in the truck and drill 4 holes for each seat

Re: Show us you're seats

These are the Procar lowbacks in my 60. I'm going to diamond tuft them soon to match the rear panel and door panels, but remain as comfortable as when they were first put in many moons ago. They're relatively cheap, have adjustable backs, and hold up really well.

You can even get them thru Amazon now, almost $20 cheaper than Summit and the shipping is free:

Amazon.com: ProCar by Scat 80-1400-51L LOWBACK... Amazon.com: ProCar by Scat 80-1400-51L LOWBACK...

Re: Show us you're seats

I liked Mark's (Markeb01) Procar Buckets so much I followed his lead.

If your looking for more of "period correct" look these low back buckets fit that vibe, IMHO.

I built custom brackets for them that also incorporate seat belt brackets. The seats come with 3 adjustable height positions, include the adjustment track, they recline and they have a map pocket in the back.

More information can be found on my build thread.

I hope this helps.

I really like those seats.
They look so close to the buddy buckets I had in my 65.

Re: Show us you're seats

I just got my seats back from the upholster. These are my phantom Chevy truck bucket seats. I built them from 2 bench seats. All hardware works on both seats. They both adjust like stock and the seat backs tilt forward. I finished the frames in 2013. Maybe what bucket seats could have looked like on our trucks if Chevy had offered them. I had to set them in the cab to check the look.

Cool Re: Show us you're seats

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/a...1&d=1541001035

I took a 1990 Chevy bench seat and cut off the extendable head rests and took 2” off of the seat frame to lower it from sticking up into the big back window of my truck. The seat will be recovered to match the truck. My pet peeve is never put a late model seat in an old vehicle without recovering it. If you leave it stock it looks like you didn’t have enough money to finish the job right. Just sayin !!!

How did this turn out? did you remove the bar that goes across the front?
Does it still move back and forth?
How did you handle the overlap at the back of the bracket?
