Gosh Darn it I miss her

I went out today to finish putting my big girl in storage for a few years til I have the dosh to import a new engine and driveline (I snapped my tail shaft and it took out a chunk of my gear box and transfer case and my fuel lines and a corner of the sump in May 09). I was out in the shed lying under her having a D&M session when I came to terms with just how much I miss the big girl. So rather than buying fuel stabiliser and fogging cylinders and all of the other great advice given to me - I am going to hound the insurance company to get her back on the road - we can always rebuild in a few years but this way we get to spend quality time together.

So.... She is a 72 K20 running a 1999 6.5L turbot V8 diesel with a (I'm assuming here) New Venture Model 4500 5 speed transmission with I guess it to be the original transfer case and tail shaft.

What is the best gear box to put behind it?
Where is the best place to buy these parts? Captain RamRod and Aussie folk - is there anywhere in Aus that you know of?
Will I need any other parts?

Also - does anyone have tips to get diesel out of my hair?

Thanx again for your help guys - I love this forum - you are all so generous with your words of wisdom.
