I THINK IT LOOKS PRETTY DARN NEAT. BREAK OUT THE SAWZALL. DARE TO BE A LITTLE DIFFERENT. OR YOU COULD PAINT IT RED, LOWER IT, PUT ON SOME 20" RIMS WITH "O"RING TIRES & HAVE IT LOOK THE SAME AS EVERY THIRD TRUCK YOU SEE. JOHN

just cut it allready, al of it behind the rear wheel and mabey about 10" off in front of the wheel. be atleast start cutting and show us some pics, just remember its only metal. just use the right tools and think it out, and it will turn out good.

Indeed Ford did use an altered wheelbase configuration. It was unique to the F-350 single wheels I believe. Ford lengthened the wheelbase and the rear axle wound up being quite a bit further back on the bedside. Interestingly enough, these beds will not fit any other Ford model. I think they started introducing them about 71 or 72 and I think they quit them in 75. If my memory serves me correctly, Dean
