No offense takin on the lincoln deal. Truth be told it had left us stranded a couple of times,(Fuel pump, alternator, blown radiator hose, over heating due to pulling a trailer with two riding mowers on it in 95 degree weather running the air conditioning uphill about 70 mph, it was bound to happen)

Worked on the old truck a little today. I disassembled the power brake booster and setup. I wire brushed the booster and the two support brackets. My brother got the two brakets primered. Just need to get a smaller wire brush to finish the booster. Also pulled the drums off the new rearend.
Added a couple more pics too.

Here's an update.
We have started stripping the truck. The thing that finally got us motivated is my brother blew the rear end out 3 weeks ago. Here are pics of how far we have got. Mainly just body parts off of it.

The motor idea has changed. I found a 396 locally(from dieselwrencher) that is well built with quite a bit of horsepower. My dad is starting to get a little more involved in the project and his views are now on more horsepower(I think he's finally having a mild midlife crisis). I will keep you updated as time prgresses.

Well got some more work done just waitong on getting some tires now so we can put the frame on the ground and start putting in the drivetrain heres a couple pics so far. The front end is assembled now and the rear end is in it. I thought i had a pick of it that way, guess i will have to go take one.

I will try to get some pics up later this week. I now have th frame rolling again with all new ball joints and steering linkage in the front and new rear coil springs. Also two brand bfg radial ta's on the rear. I finally got the right engine mounts andhere about trwo weeks ago set the motor and transmission on the fram for a mock up to set the cross membermin the right place, get the motor mounts adjusted, and measure out for the new driveshaft.

Thanks Leon. I haven"t been on too frequently, i'm back in school and living in Ames through the week and doing schoolwork. So long story short, unfortunatley, school work comes before play time.
