No projects here. But,i`m a diehard 8-lugger from way back. The only think I`ve had that wasn`t has been a shortbed or a K/5.The whole time I owned my K/5s I wanted 8-lugs under them, too.Real trucks have 8-lugs.I like shortbeds, but they are my car*.

*Well,my 4wds get 8-lug,too.

Here is my girl.. 1966 CHevy K20 factory 4x4. My Dad bought it new in 66. I have added p/s, disc brakes,np205,ZZ3. Lots of fun..

It is currently in tear down for its next rebuild - which is how I stumbled on this site.

My Grandpa had that truck in a 65 with a 327 and Factory 4x4.
It got passed down to my uncle - he has a son, so I have very little chance of inheriting it.

That's okay, I know my cousin will treat it good.

That's a really nice looking truck and boat.
Towing old boats behind your classic car/truck at meetings and shows has become pretty popular over here.
I'm restoring an old boat myself and I'm planning to paint it to match my truck.

Here's my '72 Highlander Custom Camper. At some point some lunkhead turned it into a ½-ton, but I'm changing it back into a real truck. Got the rear done, but it's still wearing 5-lug rallys up front in this picture.

Re: BIG BOYS -- Let's See Some 3/4 Ton & 1 ton Projects

Here's mine. It's a 1967 Camper Special. I removed everything from the firewall forward and spent the last two summers rebuilding the front suspension and steering, resealing the engine and transmission, and cleaning and painting everything before putting it back together. The paint's about 15 years old and needs a good sanding and buffing but it's a nice driver. I'm not scared to haul stuff in it.

Re: BIG BOYS -- Let's See Some 3/4 Ton & 1 ton Projects

My C30 given to my by my Dad last week. Had been in his garage for 25 years. Truck was originally a six cylinder box truck. When he purchased it the engine had been changed to a 400 small block, Has 4 speed in the floor. Frame was cut in half and shortened to fit a truck bed on it. It looks very professionally done. We took the gas tank out and cleaned it yesterday. I pull all the plugs out and out a little marvel mystery oil in each cylinder. Then turned the motor over by hand. Let it set all day and then yesterday afternoon we put a battery in it and it fired right up. I have a few more things to do and it will be ready for the road.
