Re: 4x4 67-72s?
Hey I am kind of new to the forum joined over a year ago but not much time to post !!!! I just through looking at the pics and I have to tell you I am ready to spontaneously ,well I might effin blow up just beautiful trucks fellas I really love them all !!! I am currently restoring a 69 4x4 LWB it was a Park Ranger truck(complete with pillar mounted spotlight) here in Nebraska it had 350 ,sm 465 tranny 205 t case 3:73 gears I have completely torn it apart down to the bare frame knocked out all of the rivets that hold cross members in (they needed some repair) sandblasted and drilled all rivet holes to accept 1/2 20 bolts (from the local Caterpillar dealer) filled holes and so on painted it all semi gloss black and bolted all back together I relocated the engine crossmember because 540 cubic inches of pure Chevy thunder will occupy the engine compartment !!! Well the engine is a complete shortblock I have a TH 400 205 combo waiting to put behind it and the Rear axle is nearly redone 12 bolt with disc brake conversion and have most of the parts for the front axle (the front axle it came with had drum brakes)I got a Dana 44 from 78 3/4 ton that will replace it alas it is all on hold because my 98 Chevy 4x4 swb shelled out its 305 and I am putting in a 383 and learning about the Vortec engine as I go They are quite a bit different than these older savages I am used to working on If someone will walk me through pic posting I have a ton of pics I would like to show Thanks for the ear guys you will be seeing alot more of me
