well here they are mocked up. They are resting on a 4x4 block of wood so I can see the clearence on top. The second picture is deceiving, the jackstand is not actually under the truck.

what do you all think? I am worried about clearing the fender when I turn. I am thinking about a 245-40-20 tire. I also might run a spring spacer in the fron to keep the rigidity of the spring, but gain an inch back.

Now I have to mock up the back.

What did you use to convert to the 6 lug disks up front?

just about all of the disk conversions allow for a six lug option. I used a kit from a company call ABS. They are local so I could drive over and pick them up. If you are looking you can also try classic performance parts, or Early Classic enterprise. I also think some of our board members carry the conversions, try Tim Christian. He is a great resource and can get you exactly what you are looking for.

So I mounted the rear and found the hub was to big. Also looked like the backspace was to much for the rear, I ended up with a serious tuck.

I am going to pick up some bolt on wheel spacers today and see how those work out. Should allow me not to worry about the hub difference, as well as bring the wheel closer to the outer edge of the fender. I never thought I would spend a hundred dollars in Lug nuts!

I am going to also try to get a tire today. I am thinking 45 series. I am pretty sure I need 40 series, I just havent seen them to see what they look like. I didnt really want to run rubber bands, but I love these wheels.

Update:

1 1/4 inch bolt on wheel spacer worked great in the back.

The front however is to low. I went with a 275/45/20 Kumho and it is to big for the drop up front (5.5) the drop is acheived with 3 inch drop spring and 2.5 inch ECE drop spindles.

The rim and tire fit, I wont be able to turn the truck. problem is IT LOOKS HOT.

so now the question is how can I lift the front end back up a bit to be able to drive it while I wait to raise enough funds to bag it....

someone mentione spring spacers, anyone try these? the thought was to be able to acheive the lift without loosing stiffness, therfore excess rubbing.
