Re: Help us choose a paint scheme!
OK...HUGE thanks to Carter and to everyone for their feedback. After considering the "Aging" factor of trendy schemes and everthing else this is what we've come up with.
Special thanks to Josh K Hopefully we don't prove our incompetance while following this build on here |

I love the green over white two tone. It is SWEET. Sorry I don't like flames.

Re: Help us choose a paint scheme!
I voted for #1 and #6.
Not that you don't have a hard enough decision already, but I think if you swapped the dark green on #1 with the cream, and then did the pale yellow outline of the flames like 6, you'd have a winner. Just an opinion. I honestly do like both of them alone. DLB |

Re: Help us choose a paint scheme!
You have to make a decision on what you want. Do you want a paint job that will look hot for a season, or a few years. The first one is totally hot, but the tribal flames will be dated in a short period.
I voted for #6 because it's a design that will look good 10 years from now...

Re: Help us choose a paint scheme!
Here's a good example of what I mean. This is a similiar styled paint job. Carters version is much more refined but you can see my point.
Oh, yeah, the pic is almost 10 years old....

Re: Help us choose a paint scheme!
they all look great, and what a great tool to use to try different styles, I liked the creme/black the best, but also liked the creme green.

Re: Help us choose a paint scheme!
I too like the cream over black, but I'm not sure how I feel about the orange stripe. I think if it wasn't on the top edge of the bed (makes it look thicker than it looks on the cab/fenders), and layed out on the bedside itself, I think it would appeal to me more.
That being said, I like the colors of #1, but would like to see it with the flames just like #6. Jon, it was good talking to you the other day! I do have a new tailgate coming too that was closer to me. Thanks for your time! ** Oh, and I voted for #1. I prefer darker colors.

Re: Help us choose a paint scheme!
I picked number 5. I think tribal flames are much too trendy for a classic truck, IMO.
The regular 2 tone paint jobs will not look so dated in 5 or 10 years.

Re: Help us choose a paint scheme!
Geez, now you go and make it harder to decide!!! As for the first five, I like the way #3 looks regarding the different wheels. The black over cream I like much better with the placement of the dividing stripe.

Re: Help us choose a paint scheme!
You can NOT use the cream/black combos. As much as I like them and others, it's just too close to the Harley truck styles, especially with the orange stripe. It has to be your company colors dominating. I liked the first one, but like has been noted earlier, it will be dated sooner. I voted for the green on top of white(cream) one because it's more classic. Has kind of an elegant feel to it.
I also like the black on top of green in the latest posting. My new favorite. How about some door signage? It might look a little cheesy, but I'd like to see it. HG
