For gauges I wanted something modern but that didn't look out of place in a resto-mod. I used the dakota digital VHX gauges in a new bezel. Heres some shots of the completed bezel, the gauge and fan speed controllers mounted behind the gauges and the sending units. Im very pleased with these gauges as they don't look to race car and are modern stepper motor type gauges with a lot of extra features, really a well thought out quality gauge set.

Sound insulation. Dynamat, followed by 2 layers of jute on the floor and foam backed mass loaded vinyl on the firewall, what a difference.

For the speaker pods I used the fiberglass resin over fleece attached to a MDF skeleton method. After thickening the walls with kitty hair for vibration resistance and after bodyworking them I painted them with texture spray and covered it with satin clear. Next to black carpet they virtually disappear and powered by a old punch 150 amp they actually sound pretty good considering there is no subwoofer. Head unit is one of those Sony units that opens up and put your Ipod inside.

May I ask where you got those gauges? I want to go this route instead of finding a 5 pod cluster. I like what you did there.

Got the gauges directly from Dakota Digital, they are the VHX silver face. Seem kinda pricey at first, but once to start looking into full sweep auto meters with the sending units theyre actually not too bad.

gringoloco, yes, Im using the stock inner fender wells. This is about as low as I would go with this diameter tire and stock inner fender wells. I have the bump stops set so it wont rub but its kind of limited on down travel because of it.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. Getting caught up to where I am now on the project, only a few more pics before I start posting as things get done.

Due to the rear sway bar and the way I ran the exhaust I had to modify the bed floor for clearance. Got a new bed floor(very nice product BTW) and set to cutting it up. I mounted it to a structure to keep things lined up and using what I cut out from the floor and a section of the old bed floor made a bump to clear everything. Wanted it to look as OEM as possible so i ground all the welds to make it look as if the floor was stamped that way from the factory. Heres some pics of the assembly.

After scuffing and a coat of epoxy sealer I painted the bottom with a polyurethane industrial paint that leaves a slight texture finish. Same process on top but with 3 coats of the single stage polyurethane Im using everywhere else.
