Re: Should I put body side moldings back on my truck?
Anybody know where to get the chrome/black/chrome Scottsdale style trim for an 83? All I can find is Silverado trim.
Also, how do ya'll keep this stuff from coming off? The adhesive seems to be less than adequate. |

Install, and then "wet out" adhesive by applying pressure (I used a small dough rolling pin from the kitchen. Don't tell my wife). Pay particular attention to any curved surfaces like the areas approaching and departing the wheel openings. It's been four years for me and mine are still sticking (although I'm starting to see some slight bridging accross a couple of those curves). Body side molding installation took place in my build/intro thread, linked below, on page 6 post 141 and page 8 post 197 if you would like to check it out. K

Re: Should I put body side moldings back on my truck?
I like the molding on a chevrolet.there are a lot of plain jane trucks out there and many people out there (including myself) like the "original" looks with the trim.mine was done in a non original color with the trim removed and a non stock interior and when this one goes down the road it will be because i want a truck with close to all the original options.
i think yours would be a real looker with the trim installed. Kent. |

RPO B85 = Chrome trim (with thin black strips) My truck is actually a Scottsdale but I opted up for the B85 Chrome Trim and V22 uplevel grille. K
