Re: lets see your 6 lug wheels

Nice wheels guys. I just bought a 68 SWB and I am gonna keep my 6 lugs. How did you guys go about swapping to front disks. I have a set of rotors and calipers and I am just thinking of having the rotors redrilled. Thoughts?

Re: lets see your 6 lug wheels

You can find a local retailer HERE, they are a little expensive but worth it in my opinion.

Re: lets see your 6 lug wheels

Somebody might have already said this, but I want to see one with the new model chevrolet factory 20's. They are sweet, but I don't know how they would work on our trucks. Mine's 5 lug, but I'd still like to see what it looks like.

My new build thread:
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...17#post2861817

Best pass with the old dragtruck:
5.32 @ 131.6 mph 1/8 mile w/ a 1.25 60' Fogger/Plate 2003

Best pass with the street 406 hydraulic roller motor w/ mild plate tuneup
5.93 @ 114 mph 1/8 mile w/ a 1.29 60' 2003 or 2004

The dude at the local truck shop says the newer factory GM 6 lug wheels wouldn't work with out stock 6 lug axles due to the larger hub diameter.

Re: lets see your 6 lug wheels

These are AMP wheels that Les Schwab tire stores sell. The only reason I bought them is because they were 50% off at the time. Trying to stay cheep because i'm selling it when I'm done building it.

Re: lets see your 6 lug wheels

My new truck has 6 lugs. Drums in front at the moment. I need to try and find out if I can get discs behind them. Not sure how to do that at this point though. If I can I'd like to keep them. If not I'll probably switch to 5lugs.

Re: lets see your 6 lug wheels

Several companies make six-lug disc kits...this is the way I will go on the 70 for sure.
