The boys are blowing holes for c-notch. We're going old school with 7" pipe sections and some bracing --- custom fab work.

Re: High School Project Build
Nice project! I think this is what a lot of auto shop classes are missing these days. This can teach many different areas besides just wrenching. The truck looks like a great platform to start with as well!

Re: High School Project Build
If I may ask, why do you need new mirrors? I have my old set just lying around, as I replaced them with chrome units (unfortunately I'm on the other side of the planet so postage will probably be quite high and take forever, as our post office is on strike).

Re: High School Project Build
We were going with the smaller round one instead of the 4x8's - leaving mirror stems.

Those young-guns need to be wearing hearing protection. Get em used to it while they're young & they'll suffer much less hearing loss than we have....

Re: High School Project Build
Never knew you were a high school teacher! your stepper and 2 door carryall (i believe) were some of my favorite trucks as I lurked the forum searching for ideas for my personal truck! I'm stoked to see what another high school can do, with your expertise. wish my high school was into this! cant wait to see the outcome, my build plans and this build are very similar good luck!!

Re: High School Project Build
We are finally getting back to work on the truck. We've had several other projects that we had to get done - so that has taken away a lot of time from the truck.
The guys are finding the joys in removing the factory rivets.

We would love to have your class over for a field trip if that can be arranged. I'm sure I could get Rob from No Limit on board to make for a good education for the kids!

We are back in school. My classes have a new set of students because they change classes at the begiining of the year. Alot of my former students returned, and I got several new ones. After we get through "safety" - we should be back to work on the truck in a few days. If anybody has suspension parts (drop spindles, 2" front & 5" rear drop springs, disc brakes) laying around - I sure could use them. Anybody have a cts-v, muscle car or camaro LS oil pan
