Re: Regarding Small Step-Vans Custom or Stock
Hey guys. We have some major stepvan love here at RPM Transmissions. This is one of our shop trucks. Its a short/short P10, 250 I6 with an RPM fully micropolished 3 speed manual trans. Its got Air Ride Technologies with E3 controller, tubular a-arms upper and lower and trailing arms sitting on Coy 18x7 and 18x11 rims. And a big ass train horn!

Re: Regarding Small Step-Vans Custom or Stock
This is our new 1965 Chevy ice cream project to go with our future mini donut truck. Hoping to get the P10 ready for next Spring.
Airbagged, LS or SBC (haven't decided), probably a dark metallic blue as the fire truck will be repainted a dark red. 20/22 Foose Legends maybe as we already have them. Do swap the body on to an S10 chassis though as they are close to the same size and parts are easy to get. Already have a 5-lug C10 clip and axle conversion though, so could use stock frame if it's still good. Both vans were built local to me and are unique builds with no replicas that I know of. Will try and update as we go along, it's a major build...lots of rust unfortunately. Nate

Re: Regarding Small Step-Vans Custom or Stock
Man I love all the Step van pictures. I acquired my step van about a year ago and I absolutely love it. It's a 1991 GMC Utilimaster with a 6.2 liter diesel. I've been slowly converting it into an RV/daily driver.
So far I put some pretty big RV windows in it (they're also emergency exits) and changed the headlights to Freight-liner style headlights and put led tail lights in her. I also picked up a bench style seat that folds into a bed, put all new wood in the rear and picked up two comfy bucket seats. I'm thinking about installing a front axle and making it into a 4x4. It doesn't look too hard. Whatcha Think??? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by zip76; 01-03-2011 at 12:42 PM. |

What axle would you put under it, would you lift it or just leave it the same height? Last edited by Mkcustums; 01-03-2011 at 12:59 PM. |
