Medical card in a commercial vehicle isn't it. I haul 13k with my truck, regular plates they have never bothered me. That's Maine anyway. I have a cdl, class 3, but no medical card as I'm no longer employed where I need it, but I still kept the license.
I'll have to look into it for Maine.

VA is strict about everything. Every state employee will tell you something different. I ran into this with a question I had about my company vehicles.

If you have a question in your state just contact your State Police Commercial vehicle enforcement and go by what they say. they will be writing the ticket.

Here are pics of the chains. I didn't have anything to hook to but you can get an Idea. I got the 65 to run so I just drove it back to it's hole.

Here are the wheels. It looks funny right now but it's easy to see how much difference there is.

That key tag is funny. Nice to see it's already working for you. Chains need some "patina" now

That color "Fugly" definitely fits. It is also a good name for the truck that's what I have been calling it The chains will match soon enough I'm sure.

Re: 66 C30 Wrecker

I have been looking for a decent Chevy hood for Fugly. All of them seem to be on the west coast . I was looking at Craigslist this afternoon and found this one within walking distance to my house. It came with a grill I don't need so I can make a few bucks back.

Cool wrecker. I had a chance to buy one (dirt cheap),
just didn't have anywhere to keep it.

I got them at a local place that sells wrecker parts. You can get them online, mine are 8ft but you can get longer lengths.

Yeah, I'm tired of driving 4 hrs to pick up every part I need. It's not great but better than what was on there.

Got the rear tires mounted. All I have left is to fix the hood lights so I can get my Inspection sticker.

Re: 66 C30 Wrecker

Thanks Rick,

I need to update. Ive made a few changes. Different hood, New mirrors, Moved PTO from dash to floor.

The next project is stealing the throttle from the 65 It stalls out at idle picking up anything heavy.

I also bought pertronix ignition for it. I will probably put it in when I swap the 250 out for the 292.

Re: 66 C30 Wrecker

Here is the new old hood I stole off my panel, and new mirrors.

You can kinda see I removed the air tank it was actually a water tank and was rated for 45 psi . I have an old compressor tank that I'm going to mount when I dig it out .

I also put a stock shifter knob on and cleaned some of the grease and dirt off the inside. I ruined some clothes and my hands would turn black every time I touched the steering wheel. It was liked a 55 gallon drum of oil puked in it. I can literally squeeze oil out of the passenger seat belt.
