Re: Wheels of Steel

Tim,
They won't pick them up from your place, but I believe that the UPS store can handle this. Either way, I'll take the set of #3's. I'll find out in the morning about shipping from the store, and then get you paid. Please pm your mailing address.
Thanks,
Terry

I was just talking to a friend last Friday who was telling me his friend may be able to give me some work on Smith Is. Don't know what will turn up or when. I'll get him to check more into it. No guarantees at this point, though. Set #1 would run about $70 to ship. They said if they can take till April they could do it for less but the guy they'd have hauling them's mule is sick,so probably be May

Looks like set #3 are sold. Payment is on it's way. I talked to my friend about the work on Smith Island and that will have to wait for good weather, sounds like spring. Let me know if you want set #1 still. At this point not sure if or when I'd be down that way

Which ones? I have #1 and #4 available. See post #1. Both are staggered sets. Each have 1 pr narrow and 1pr wide. All these wheels are in great shape with no issues.

Re: Wheels of Steel

Here are examples of other wheels sandblasted & powdercoated. The first pair are 9.75s that were done in '91 and the picture was taken 2 years ago. The second picture shows 8.25s I have yet to mount on my K2500. I rounded up a set from the four corners of earth and some had a healthy dose of pitting. It's amazing what sand blasting & powder coat can do. Wheels shown are not for sale, just showing what the ones I'm offering can look like. The ones for sale are much cleaner than these 8.25s were

Re: Wheels of Steel

Tim,
If you're ready to start splitting them up, and Brad is serious about the #1, 15X6's, put me in line for the #1, 15X8's. I was actually looking for a set of 5 for the blazer, and as hard as they are to find, it wouldn't hurt to have a spare tucked away.
Thanks,
Terry

It appears I scared him off,but I'll send him a PM with a shipped price to see if he's still interested. If he is I'll have him post it here, and I would let you know you get first shot at the 8s.

Edit: PM sent to Brad approx. 4pm. Waiting for reply

Re: Wheels of Steel

Leroy,I'm afraid it was terrysn's post in #39 that planted the seed to break this set up. I just got done with returning their massages and it looks like set #1 is sold, pending payments,to terrysn (8") and Iron Canine (6"). I would have liked to help you out.

Looks like the 8-luggers are the only set that remains available

Got my 15x6s today. Thanks Tim.

The silver one didn't make the trip unscathed though. Ding on the outside lip...hopefully we can massage it out. Now it's time to find 2 (or 3) more to complete the set.
