Re: Scott's 65 Build Thread
Thanks Guys. This has been all I have being doing in my spare time since May. It just seems like I have been making fast progress because I posted it all at once. It's been taking forever in my book.

Re: Scott's 65 Build Thread
Yes, I bought the frame paint from the sam place that did my powdercoating.I went with a different color because it didn't quite match the powder coat. I actaully like the Rustolem Hammered paint better. It seems more durable and a lot less exspensive.

Re: Scott's 65 Build Thread
Believe it or not, those are 4" drop springs. Here's the fuel cell. I found this tank on CL brand new for $75. It took a little fab, but it's going to work.

Re: Scott's 65 Build Thread
Thanks VA72C10. It's been a slow process. I'll take some more pic of the painted/primered front clip. I am currently doing the body work on the hood (which is hammered) and I am trying to spray the bed this weekend. I would really like to get it back on the road (this is the best time of the year in AZ)and take it to the car show that I took it to last year. Only this year there will be more trophies for me. My father in-laws 67 should be there also, pending some finishing touches. No way I stand a chance against this.

Re: Scott's 65 Build Thread
That's my father in-law in the after pics. I told him he could practice on the part of the bed that couldn't be seen.
Oh, I almost forgot...I got the proto type done. A friend of mine gave me a 63 Hotwheel. I took it apart and painted it the same color. This was mucher easier (and cheaper) than the real thing. ![]() ![]() |
