That sounds like a sweet deal I think it will be a million times better than your stock set up.

you said it or you have 3/4t axles for it.

the truck does nto have 3/4t axles in the pic.

a 3/4t d44 is exactly the same axle shafts as a 1/2t, there is absolutely no gain in swaping in a front 3/4t other than matching wheel patterns.

and if you flip the little arms down and put a load on it you are going to bend your axles.

those little arms are going to keep the suspension from squating but are going to do absolutely nothing for axle wrap which is the real parts buster.

Re: 1980 chevy long bed!

My truck Supposably has a edelbrock intake and carb. This sounds better so I think Ill take it and sell my old edelbrock stuff.. Maybe make some money for some new interoir parts or something else? Why part of my project should I start with everyone?

Re: 1980 chevy long bed!

When I was at oreillys I was talking to a guy that for pulling you gotta build a bracket that has a fold down block that stops it from going all the down on the axle when you have a load on. Ever heard of that?

Re: 1980 chevy long bed!

See how it wont let the axle go all the way up the frame when your pulling or have a heavy load.

Its mostly for pulling. You can fold it up when Your not pulling.
