Re: perfect truck for a high school kid
Welcome to the board and you have a fine truck.
I see you live in Salt Lake County. I hope removing the smog pumps doesn't create issues for you when it comes time to do the IM/Safety inspection. |

Re: perfect truck for a high school kid
Welcome to the boards! Good to see some of the younger generation loving the old steel. Much better then some rice cutter with a chicken wing on the back with a soup can exhaust.
My boi is 18 and is waiting for the day to drive the bag off my dually.

Re: perfect truck for a high school kid
I just turned 18. I drive an 82 short step with a 350/4speed. My whole high school drives post 1995 cars with the exception of a Model A hotrod and a 75 dart. We have been caught smoking the tires numerous times

Re: perfect truck for a high school kid
man i wish i had pics of the 83 c10 i had in high school. i went to my 10 year reunion in a 79 i had and everyone thought it was the same truck. now i have an 85 and plan to take it to the 20 year reunion next year. my 85 makes the 4th c10/k10 i have had. i have loved them since i was old enough to know what a chevy truck was. my only k10 was a 81 and she was a fine ride.
love seeing young people love these trucks like we do. on a side note my daughter has a 94 dodge dakota and she asked if i could build her a 80 to 85 c10 for her graduation. says she hates the baby truck her moms mother bought her. there is a girl on the site 4x4s4allie and my 17yo lil girl love her truck and that she is a girl and works on it.
