Re: 67 C10 Makin it handle
Thanks guys! Just ordered my Headers today... They were suggested by rob from no-limit. The Ls swap headers from headman. My shifter and trans mount should be waiting for me at my house. Things should start to come together pretty quickly now. Only big purchases left are my rear end, drive shaft, an my vintage air system

Defiantly makin it look sweet, and to perform to boot. What kind of springs are you using, that's a nice stance especially with them slicks

Re: 67 C10 Makin it handle
I don't have springs for the back yet. the way it sits now is on stock coils that were heated to lower it. I'll probably use 2 inch drop springs and make a cup to set them up into the frame rails. keep in mind with the way I notched my rear it also raises the spring mount up 3.5 inches, so I'm getting quite a bit of drop.

Re: 67 C10 Makin it handle
I really like all the engineering that is going into the frame and suspension.
I am going to follow this build with interest. |

Re: 67 C10 Makin it handle
Thanks guys! Got my transmission crossmember built yesterday. Just needs some finishing grinding... It Sits flush with the bottom of the frame, and has just enough space on top for the exhaust to sneak through. i made it as think as i could and made sure it ties the top and bottom of the frame rails to each other.
I will be making an X out of .120 wall 2 inch pipe from the trans crossmember to the crossmember the trailing arms mount to. I want as much torsional stiffness as I can get out of the frame without spending a ridiculous amount of time on it, or adding a ton of weight.

Re: 67 C10 Makin it handle
well, I appear to have reached the part of my build where things get interesting... I'm running out of time to get the truck done. as my house is being sold... So I am ordering parts like there is no tomorrow. Goodbye savings hello truck parts! I'm aiming to have the truck move under it's own power by January first... happy new years. Stay tuned for what the UPS guy has in store for me.
