Re: Live and learn... bought a 327

Scuderia, I have a 64 small journal 327 running an Edelbrock performer rpm intake, 600cfm carb, and the ram horn manifolds with the alternator bracket bolted on the end. I don't have the original adjusting bracket so I just made one temporary until I get one. My heads are later model than yours with accessory holes, so you may need a bracket bolted from your water pump.

Thanks for the response! Are your exhaust manifolds the repo ones like dorman? Any issues bolting them up? I noticed varying opinions on them. Seems the used original 2" ones are cheap but the OEM 2-1/2" are freaking like gold.
Which carb did you go with? Manual or electric choke? I kind of want to keep my manual choke...

Re: Live and learn... bought a 327

I pulled out the manifolds and the lower alternator bracket. I think I have all the other pulleys and brackets and if any one has the part numbers I'll verify what I have.

Re: Live and learn... bought a 327

Don,

I'm parting out a '67 327 out of a Camaro. It was in my dad's '57 Belair and the block was cracked. So I have a bunch of parts that I'd like to get rid of. I have a small journal crankshaft that has just been ground w/ new bearings. I have most of the tin parts, oil pan, timing cover, I think I have some valve covers. Let me know if you're interested, and we can talk price. Plus I'm in the Bay Area (Antioch).

Scuderia, I really don't know what these manifolds are. I see a GM on them, but they are definitely 2 inch. They were on it when I bought the truck. However, I did not have any issues bolting them on. They fit nice. Also, I have a manual choke. I will send some better pics of the alternator bracket on the end of the manifold. its mocked up now because I am looking for an adjustment bracket.

Re: Live and learn... bought a 327

Hey Don,

I looked at my stuff this weekend and the timing cover was a aftermarket chrome unit, as were the valve covers. The oil pan is original, and I have some rams horn exhaust manifolds if you're interested in them. Let me know.

I'll have to measure them, and I believe they are GM and they do have the mounting bosses for an alternator but not the actual mount. I measure them and get some pictures.
