My workshop is only 8x6, but it does the job. It is homemade. I also poured 20 feet of extra driveway to hold my cars and added 10ft of awning to shade them. I keep hearing people lament about the housing market, but I am cheering the downturn, I hope it keeps going down so I can finally afford a house/garage without a 6 figure salary.

I think I will have to do that the next time I'm in the area. Did you make it to the Midwest All Truck Nat's this year?

I saw a clean '66 LWB (red) 4x4 there, but I wasn't sure if that was you or not. Definitely up your alley...

The red '66 Chevy K10, lwb fleet at the All Truck Nationals in Riverside, MO, is a truck I finished in May, 2008.

Ya'll might not like mine,since it is very dis-organized.Little insulation work going on at the time of these pictures.

I can see why you always have great parts for sale and know what you have. Great shop, and I enjoy seeing your work. I wish I was closer so you could help with my poor truck. I can't get past the rockers and floor pan areas. If I ever get those done I'll be on the road. Your shop has inspired me to clean mine up and I found some great wire rack shelves where I work for free. That has helped give me a lot more space for working and I seem to get more done that way!

Thanks for the encouragement and hats-off to you for getting things in order, so you can be more efficient during your work sessions.

Keep plugging away at the rockers and floor pans and before you know it they will be done and you will be on to the next step.

Hey Tony,i was thinking about that air tool rack, what about if you flipped the lighter tools to the top it would space things out and look like you planned it that way. Just a thought.

Great idea, however my air tool rack is on a shelf above my welding table, so it is too high to have tools on the top. I am going to make another one of equal length and spacing. I will use every other space for small things like air chucks and blow nozzles.

This is what I worked with for the majority of my burb restoration, since I couldn't afford a house with a real garage for ever. Now that the housing mkt has come back down to earth, I now have a 3 car garage and am still setting it up since I have been so use to working in such a cramped space.

Nice shops everyone. Lil Red I believe I looked at this thread a half dozen times in the 60-66 section and again here in general discussion. All I can say is IMPRESSIVE! You have motivated me to get serious about building my shop.
I would post pics of my current shop but the tree I worked under blew over during hurricane Ike. I still have the shop's foundation; a large piece of cardboard. It was stored in my house during the storm. Its a shame because I have a two car garage (more like 1.5) but my wife parks her car in there and it only has one door so I cant work in it.
