Re: Who saw the Farm Truck on the new Street Outlaws Show?
The farm truck is the only cool part of the show. I like the attitude of the owner. for the rest......I never thought of "street racers" showing up with the car on a trailer.
I know reality TV is all staged and total BS, I was involved in a show for a short time once. But the fake attitudes and the really BS nicknames are terrible.

Re: Who saw the Farm Truck on the new Street Outlaws Show?
Slicks are not DOT approved, so it is not street legal.
Believe me ive gotten a ticket for being on slicks, not street radials before. Still a bada$$ truck though. and I even like the show even though its dumb as hell to try and run 2k hp on an un-prepped street.

Take my advice on this........DON'T street race, you could lose your life, your vehicle (many states have confiscation laws), or the worst one.......you could kill or mame an innocent. Remember that not everyone on the street has chosen to be in your little race, take your ego and your car to the track.

I agree 100%....another BS "Reality Show". I can't believe the producers of this crap are promoting street racing....gives legit drag racing a bad name !

Re: Who saw the Farm Truck on the new Street Outlaws Show?
because that wouldn't make a good reality show. It would be a real race without the BS.

Damn Im almost 40.. are you guys really that old or act that old? ****... its entertainment with a lot of **** talking and horsepower! I love it, thats why I posted. Yes street racing is fu**ed, and dangerous I dont aggree with it, but I like the show. Also the guy that said the thing about the nicknames.. down here in the south we all had them and still do.
Eric (Evaded) Ive had that since 1990 in the car scene.

Re: Who saw the Farm Truck on the new Street Outlaws Show?
I think the show is entertaining, but you can tell some of it is staged.
In my younger days I played around on the street a little, but no longer do....not worth the risk. I really wish "people" (track owners, police dept., city/county government) would promote grudge night at a track a lot more. Keep it off the street in a controlled environment where we can have fun racing our buddies and come home safely. |

Re: Who saw the Farm Truck on the new Street Outlaws Show?
Street racing is dangerous, so I do not condone it. The Show, glorifies it and I think and sets a bad example for kids. However, knowing better, the farm truck is kinda cool.

The show is a "reality" show. It is drawing huge ratings I'm sure. Real street racing will probably never go away. Farmtruck is cool as hell. My favorite vintage too. That truck was famous long before the reality show. Just you-tube search it and look at the dates. |

Re: Who saw the Farm Truck on the new Street Outlaws Show?
I find the show entertaining to say the least. They are some fast cars but definetly not the fastest like they claim.

I caught bits and pieces of it, and I agree, the bleeping is very annoying.

Re: Who saw the Farm Truck on the new Street Outlaws Show?
So the dude Flip died at the end of June..thought it would be racing. Was completely unrelated, he apparently killed himself at home. Sad... r.i.p

Re: Who saw the Farm Truck on the new Street Outlaws Show?
Okay I watched an episode on the internet last night... Just another reality show. Of course I love the farm truck and racing but like Mike said there is a track about 30 min away, test and tune night is the first friday of every month and I have seen farm truck there several times. I dont get trying to race mega horse power rides on the street. It's just too dangerous. But I figure its just a reality show. and somewhat staged and closed some streets when needed, I hope...

I saw the farmtruck on June first in Mustang, maybe coming from or going to a race?? I caught up with him as he was driving off with the truck trailered out of the wal mart parking lot. There was a second gen camaro there I think it was another guy there from the show, maybe the young kid. I can't lie, I would watch the show if I had cable but a lot of it seems fake and safety is a big concern. Just take it to the track. Man I must be getting old saying stuff like that.

Re: Who saw the Farm Truck on the new Street Outlaws Show?
Yeah sounds about right, I heard about that "flip" guy, sad stuff. I dont know any of those guys and never seen any of the rides on the street. maybe at the track but none stick in my memory like the farm truck. Years ago before he was famous an old guy I worked with told me stories about this old truck with a camper and a pizza delivery sign running 11s and pulling the wheels. I thought he was crazy but finally one day he pulled in to the track (on a trailer) and my coworker jumped up and said "there he is there he is" man I could not stop smiling once he hit the first run of the night. The farm truck is awesome.

Re: Who saw the Farm Truck on the new Street Outlaws Show?
I watched the show the other night and while I don't condone street racing... I truly hope those TX boys go up there on the next episode and show them how silly they truly are! LMAO (The rest of the Texans on the board will most likely agree)!!!!
