Re: Keeping it Correct-Era Correct
I did my`71CustomCamper/20 period correct. It was totally stock when I bought it so it was easy to treat it like I just bought a new truck and added what I liked:Aluminum slots 9.75 rear/8.25 front, tonneau cover made by upholstery shop,headers/duals with chrome tips, and that`s it for exterior appearance. The 2wd 3/4t trucks were a favorite support vehicle for haulig race cars, boats, whatever, and a guy would do a bit to set it off.Mostly upgrades to enhance it`s abilities.Like:posi, tach, extra tanks, cargo hooks, trailer brake controllers, step bumpers,mirrors...
This is a period correct 3/4t 4wd: I did this shortbed period correct.Actually,it`s all factory correct. Those are 8.25x16.5 6-lug wheels that were avaiable as and option,as well as popular in the aftermarket: Here`s another 4wd I had with period correct touches: And,a Blazer I had: I don`t have any pictures of my`72 shortbed 2wd I bought in`73.I ran white 10" steel wheels on back and 8" on front with 55 car dog dishes.

Re: Keeping it Correct-Era Correct
Here's one. To me this one misses the mark a little. The tires are too narrow and the offset of the rim is too shallow for my liking, but I think with the right tire size and offset, it would look great.

Re: Keeping it Correct-Era Correct
You need to get custom made to go any wider.Coker and other reto tire companies only make them in factory sizes.I plan on getting some 3/8"whitewalls made in a wider size.$$$$$$$$$

Re: Keeping it Correct-Era Correct
Well i'm sold for sure, those look great they are just that little bit more unusual imo and wouldn't show every little scuff like whites. Thanks for the pics 67_c-30, i'll check if Coker ship international.
