Re: auto lift suggestion?

Looks great Chickenwing! I imported a Bendpak when I finished my shop about eight years ago. Some days gets used as a hoist, other days I put an oversized sheet of 1 1/2" ply on it and use it as an adjustable work bench. Either way you're gonna love it!

A tip to make the lifts last longer is when you raise a vehicle make sure to set it on the safety locks

Man, I gotta drive over there and look. Last time I stopped by, it was on order. Good to know there is a lift sitting only about 4 miles away....

Re: auto lift suggestion?

Lol, Eric come on over anytime. Too bad you was outta town when I put it in. Coulda used your help. Still gotta wire it. Prolly do that this Friday.

Richard H.: Its an asymetric lift. The post are rotated outwards from center to aid in gettin in/outta the vehicle. I had to get the narrow one, so I/m hopin the asymetric posts help out.

Billhilly: Never thought of usin it for a work bench. I haven't installed any benches yet. Think that idea will come in handy.

BigAl, Sorry it didn work out with your supplier. The Rotary was outta my reach on budget. The lower end lifts are evidently on a really low margin to play with price-wise. Price being near equal, between the Revolution and the Bendpak, I just liked the Bendpak better. Prolly just marketing... but it swayed me. Thanks for tryin to help me out. You're a top notch board member.

That is a cool feature but it must be for easier approach cause there ain't no getting around the post are still there. Mine is asymetrical also to make it easier getting in and out of the vehicle. My lift arms don't swing out as far as yours.. Dang it.

Re: auto lift suggestion?

Approach is the same. The posts are rotated 30 degrees, allowing a bit more door swing. Guess ya gotta see it. Putter swung by and checked it out. Gave him a quick demo. He seemed to like it fine. I might see him a bit more now...
