One thing that was missed was that Racer said engine was still in the truck. Whatever cleaner you use, I would runt the truck up to tempurature and let the exhaust coll for a short time, then spray it down. leave it set a bit, start it up to keep the temp up, shut it off and pressure wash. Repeat as needed.

It is biodegradeable, but it WILL burn your skin, so you do need to wear rubber gloves. I use Simple Green to wash my hands all the time.

On real tough baked on areas I use Brakleen. It instantly dissolves the grease and evaporates

I've been using the bio- engine cleaners in a spray can to soften the heavy grime. I then use a stiff brush soaked with laundry detergent to scrub the heavy coating off the parts. Dawn dish detergent works well after the heavy stuff is removed. I use Simple Green as a light cleaner when my engine compartment has a light film of dust that starts to set in.
