Re: Project Little Black Truck

Oh, have fun with that! Thank god for portable DVD players! I'm really tryin', the stated goal at new years was to go to Goodguys at labor day and the truck nats the next week. If I wanted to get horny about it, I could pop the front end together and slap the old interior in and be Rollin this weekend. But we're trying to make it a much better truck as we go along. I have a month, well see. Thanks for looking!

How about Goodguys down here. That will give you a little extra time.

Cool truck like the black. glad it's heading down a good road these days. I might even be able to see this truck some day.. It's local! Keep up the good work.

I'd be all over it, but a wee bit thin at the moment for such shenanigans. If we have a ****e winter, I may OT it up and get a travel budget going for next year.

i think it's thin everywhere. If you are able to make it down, I'm sure I can find you guys a place to crash.

I appreciate the offer, but I know not this year. Momma has hit the limit of her enthusiasm, if you get my drift. She's being pretty cool, but she would like to see it done.

Re: Project Little Black Truck

Boppa got that this wore out yet? Better git crackin on Yeller so we can see the square body in the garage. How bad is the over-spray in there? I've got primer and a couple quarts of paint for small parts. I went and bought a bunch of plastic (like big ****, from a green house guy) to build a tent inside my shop. I see you spraying doors, rad support and such with nothing. Don't that make a big arse mess on the tools and such? Doesn't momma have pretty stuff stored in there?

Re: Project Little Black Truck

Checkin in! Well, 9 months of outside have not been kind to LBT, and it's in the shop getting a rubdown with some #7 to try to get it semi-shiny. Hoping to get that and some black wax done tonight to go to the show. Hey, it might be a pile, but it's my paid for pile! Got a plan for more truck bux approved last night, gotta turn a couple quick sidies for some more, and hope to turn some stuff at the swap this weekend. We'll see. This one will be a bit slower, but I'm really stoked. When Boppa and I switched at GG, I gave him the shiny pretty one and looked at mine and went awwww, maaaan..... So now I gotta tighten my game up! Hopefully we'll get something going soon.

Re: Project Little Black Truck

Just for JSanborn, here's how we make the truck bux! 75 CB750 Honda.

Side covers had had the emblems shaved off, badly. Lumpier than yo mamma's Butt! Not anymore-

Tank looked like it had been in a bar fight and thrown in a ditch. Wife is used to this, and she even said she couldn't believe it was the same tank!

More nice work! You're an artist dude and it's always nice to see your stuff on here. The VeeWee will be rolling outta here this evening and I'm milliseconds from getting those bux of mine!
Can't wait to see the LBT in pieces

Re: Project Little Black Truck

Thanks, but anyone can do it. You just gotta be willing to completely follow the steps. Mile lavallee, Bill Carter, Steve Davis, those guys are artists. Cool to hear yours is gonna be coming along! Been eyeing a suicide door kit for LBT, but if I bought it I'd be on the spot!

Re: Project Little Black Truck

Thanks! Means a lot coming from you! He's finally starting to use it, he's towed the boat a couple times. Theres still some niggling stuff like the stereo, the light harness is killing bulbs, and the alignment is still a bit floaty. Probably gonna drop it a tad when we align it. Just kinda enjoying being lazy for a bit, although its not in my nature. Put a vastly upgraded amp wiring kit and a bigger amp in Big Blue the DD yesterday, hopefully a head unit by the end of the week. Thinking of starting to get the serp drive together for LBT. Chev, your deal has been a whole new inspiration, although one that'll take longer!

Re: Project Little Black Truck

What kind of a drop are you thinking on Yeller? I did that lower control arm modification to gain caster. Maybe that was stupid, but it sure was easy!

What's the heartbeat of LBT now? What's planned?

Oh hey, Gonna drop Yella 1 coil and a 2" block in the back. I want some real world results on the control arm move mod. I wanna do it to both of mine, but I want some concrete answers first.
