I hope he gets it too, so we all can see posts and pics of what he does! I don't think anyone would buy it out from under him "especially" on this board.

Re: Found me a possible truck 1971 gmc swb

To put it in perspective I was looking at this truck in Phoenix.. This one is in a lot worse shape for double the price you were offered. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/pts/3969266786.html I hope you get that Gmc though it has a lot of potential and the paint also has some patina which I like.

Re: Found me a possible truck 1971 gmc swb

I only saw one person busting on it costing $1,000,not directed at Schrumm. If directed at anyone it would be any of us,imcluding me,who would py $1,000 for a mom-running truck. All of us telling him he shouldn't be broadcasting about it when he's not even in a position to buy it,is just good sound advise from those either older, more experienced,or both. The fact is,the ad wasn't pulled,so the truck is still for sale to the first person to walk up with, now $1,000 and not,$1,850. It's better to get advise and take it when you're young than to learn the hard way. There are anonymous people viewing this website that are not even registered,so not part of our brotherhood.

See if you can get a loan from somebody. Till you get the car sold then repay them.

Yup... Not busting on ol' Schrum at all. Just making an observation, and in no way trying to discourage him from buying it.

Re: Found me a possible truck 1971 gmc swb

if you can't beg, borrow or steal the money you should be out pimpin yourself for that truck not sittin on a puter!

that truck is everything you been lookin for.
go cut her grass an kiss her azz. do what ever it takes too make sure it becomes yours till you can pay however much its costs.

did you put any $$ down on it? that might secure it for you.
if you cant sell the couger did/could you offer a trade? it cant hurt too ask
i know you dont get much 4 'em but sellin video games will generate some $

I'm rootin for ya but after your time on this board and all the hype and you still dont have any $ saved for the "dream truck"????????? man you need too make this one happen!

i'd give a grand for that in a second!

Re: Found me a possible truck 1971 gmc swb

What about a pay day loan place worse case scenario or a title loan place that will give you some money for the Cougar? Heck even a pawn shop if you don't have any credit to get a loan. Just trying to help you out with ideas because, anything on Craigs for $1,000 doesn't last long! Any SWB 67-72 is worth $1,000 to me. Good luck on it and don't count on selling the Cougar too fast. Alot of flakes out there that will waste your time. I hope you can make it happen. If I think of any other ideas I'll post them.

You sould still go give her a deposit. Someone will roll over there and hand her cash and it will be gone.

Re: Found me a possible truck 1971 gmc swb

Might be a little to early, but if you get the truck you mentioned getting new mirrors i might be intrested in buying the one's that are on the truck now but lets wait till you get her home. when i was 17 i got my first truck that was 26 years ago and i still have it along with 3 others its amazing how these trucks become your life. Most people think your just crazy but its just a passion they bring. I would like to see other pics. I think i would walk in to a labor ready place basically they send you out with other people and they work u butt off for a day but u get paid the same day sometimes u make 75 bucs and sometime u make 150 bucs depends on the level of hard work u could have the money in a week u will learn in u life if u want something bad enough u will work u butt off even if its slinging horse poop with a shovel at the stables. good luck kid!

Re: Found me a possible truck 1971 gmc swb

Shrum make sure its a coil spring rear end if you have any plans for a mild drop .. leafs are a bit more of a challenge if you lower it. I don't think you would.. but just saying.

Have you seen any more pictures of it? Interior, underneath it things like the rockers and cab mounts etc? Is it rusty?
