Yes the wheels do have a bit of history to them. What i like most about them is that i havent seen them anywhere else!

Front suspension consists of a PB mild dropmember (no notching required), PB lower control arms, cpp uppers, SS7 bags and cpp modular spindles

I was able to mock up the motor today.

Just the pics I wanted to see! I notice you are running the F-Body accessory setup?

Yes all fbody accessories except the ac for now will be used. The alternator comes really close to the frame rail but it clears.

Dang! I was hoping you were gonna put the AC on... I want to see how much Im going to have to trim off for it to fit. You just decide to not have AC then?

I just decided to leave the ac out for now. Eventually will be added but I just want to get this project on the road now that finances are tight.

I do have the bracket and compressor. Ill go ahead and mock it up and get some pics this week to give you a look at the clearance while I have my motor in.

Just tried to do a little test fit with the fbody ac bracket and compressor and with a dropmember it will not fit. Something to consider when deciding on front accessories. Might work with a stock crossmember

You'll be able to get the bracket in but the compressor will not mount to it. The back of the compressor runs into the inner truss support on the dropmember. Its not going to fit

Re: 20/22 Boyd Vtwin & porterbuilt stage 2 suspension

I just talked to Nate today, and I guess the alternator gets in the way of the steering linkage to the rack and pinion. Im not too excited about this. He said the F-body stuff will not work at all

There's a alternator relocation bracket that alot of turbo guys use on f-body cars. Ill probably go that route unless I come across an extra $2,500 for billet specialties top mount accessories

You have a nice truck by the way!!
Looks like there are a couple differences between the extreme dropmember and the stage 2 version causing the accessories to fit differently. I posted a link on your build thread.

Thanks! Motor is a 6.2L with forged internals and stock cubes, l92 heads ported and milled, custom grind comp cam and ported FAST 102 intake. Should be a pretty stout street motor. Trans is a built 4L80

Nice truck, stance, wheels and motor! Should be a beast when you're finished. Bummer about the accessory drive.

Man, I like where this truck is going

Did you ever get the alternator/rack issue resolved? How close was the A/C compressor to fitting? Would using truck spacing (3/4" forward from F-body) be enough to clear?

Re: 20/22 Boyd Vtwin & porterbuilt stage 2 suspension

There arent any clearance issues with the alternator on the the mild DM. It clears the rack just fine. Alternator does come pretty close to the top frame rail on my 67 frame. I will be doing some light trimming to the frame rail just to be safe.

The f-body ac compressor and bracket isnt even close. Easiest way to get ac on this setup would be to go with an aftermarket top mount ac bracket. Truck accessories might be a option but I wouldnt count on it
