It is a factory scoop form the 57-60 F*rd Super Duty trucks. Pontiac also used it I think in '62 or '64 on the Pontiac Tempest Super Duty. I kept the scoop when I sold the truck and it will eventually find it's way onto the suburban.

Nice job on the license plate. Hard to believe there was enough left to restore!

hi my name is Keith, been hiding in the shadows for a while, finally bit the bullet. h ad a 68swb that I raised my sons in, lost it and have had that yearning ever since. Just picked up a well used and abused 65swb. Been awhile( just turned 60) since I've lain on the street working on a piece of old tin, man do the memories come flooding back, along w/ a little blood. glad to be alive again. thanks

My name is Don and i live in North Idaho. I have been on here for a few months. I'm now addicted to these trucks. A co woorker I worked with in Boise about 10 years ago had a 60 something short bed and I loved it. I looked for one for years and the stars aligned when i got this one. I love it and will keep it forever! I would like to find a 4x4 panel someday.

Somewhere in my mess, they mention that scoop as a product they purchased from, yes them, for our series trucks.

My name is Royce. I have a 65 lwb fleet side I have owned since 1981. It was a daily driver for over 20 years. About three years ago I tore it apart to restore it but shortly after the economy went in the toilet and took my income with it so it is taking a lot longer than I had hoped to get it done.

I'm Larry. From Portland TN. I have a 1964 sb ss that needs a lot of work. Seems the more I work on it the more it needs, but as I am retired it keeps me out of trouble.

Hi, my name is Jim from Columbia Mo. I have a 1965 C10, 81,000 miles. I am the third owner. The inline 6 has a old repair on the block and will replaced with a 1966 283 from a C20 donor next week. Got it painted today. This is a great form! Thanks.

Not new by any means, but its been a few weeks since I posted a picture of my truck on anything. I'm Jay, fwiw....I'm a college educated city living, self proclaimed urban redneck. I also need to get the heck out of the city I live in

Re: The 1960 - 1966 Member Introductions

I am Larry aka "Tin Can". Been in an affair with these trucks since I was 12- my first truck was a '66 Chevy lwb. Currently working on a '65 Suburban. Pics are of a '66 GMC we had-only had 56k miles 250cid/4spd. Then....the accident that killed it. Not her fault and everyone was ok. Also pics of the 'Burb, her F**d(sorry for the blue oval-it's the only non-GM we have)and her daily driver-'91 Custom Cruiser Olds. This is a great site and a fantastic group of people-learned alot in the short time I've been here.

I'll bite! I've posted a few pictures before but I'm always ready to show off my truck, me, not so much - ha!

Here's me, a pic the wife took while I was building a deck a few months ago...

Here's my 66...

The fresh 355 I just dropped in it...

I'm gathering parts for a makeover, rebuild front end, air bags, power disk brakes, power steering, 5 lug conversion with new wheels and tires. Come spring I plan to add air and then slick it out and paint it but the paint will probably be next year because I enjoy driving it too much for the down time involved.

That appears to be a very straight Ford. I love that body style. My favorites are the 58's and 59's. I like the fact they share many styling concepts similar to GM trucks of the period, but the cab is more compact.

Re: The 1960 - 1966 Member Introductions

Had a 65 swb fs when I was in high school that my dad gave me off the farm. Well my fever came back about 6 months ago, I first bought a 63 lwb ss with a 283/auto that I just had to have. Then I realized I really wanted a 65 like I originally had. Found a 65swb ss and paid way to much for it. It needs alot of work so I started looking for parts trucks and found a 66 lwb fs with factory ac and 327. How could I pass that up. Problem is all are in not so great shape so now I'm confused as to where to start. Hi I'm Jeff and I have a problem.......
