Big D thanks, those are the old stock rims, the tires are 285/65/16.

Re: Let's see the 1 ton 4x4s!

That's the only years of the blazers I'd buy from the "fugly years",a 73-75 with a full removable top.How much did you pay for that one?

Re: Let's see the 1 ton 4x4s!

This one is my brothers as well as the OD one I posted. They are both the same year but the OD one has an 87 front clip on it. The Medium red and white blazer belonged to a relative of one of my buds. He said that it had been run out of gas and when it was fired back up the throttle was wide open and the engine over revved. After that he said it never would crank again. My brother paid $1000 for it just for the top, tailgate and back glass (which he needed) and to have the axles and driveshafts for spares. Well before he started to part it out he wanted to try to crank it. Turns out nothing was wrong with the engine aside from a bad fuel pump! It runs sweet! The previous owner had paid a shop to build the engine for him and it has less than 2K miles on it. All the bearings and seals in the frontend are also new. Here's an update on the OD one. More lift and back to all over OD.

Re: Let's see the 1 ton 4x4s!

87 1 ton, 454, th400, NP205, 4" lift, 33" tires on 16.5" wheels.

Unfortunately, she's been sitting for over a year now, completely unused. In that time, the gas tank has sprung a leak and the front brakes are shot, so I've got some work to do real soon. I really want to get it drivable before fall, and with some luck, over the winter do some surgery on the body. I'd like to keep it solid enough that in a couple few years I can begin a real restoration before it gets to the point where it's going to require a ton of work. I hate seeing it just sit there, but between the new house and my million other car projects, I just can't find the time.
