Yep. My 4' 12 gallon tank nearly fits there perfect. I'm gonna replace it w/ a 5 gallon and put another after the axle on the frame.

COOL.. I guess I need to figure out what my gas tank situation will be then before the bags.....Hmmm....Fuel Cell under the bed where the burban tank mounts up maybe.

I say you cut some steel between the ash tray and the glove box, then weld another ash tray to the original, extend the pivoting parts and have 4-way controls and 2 (dual pressure) gauges in the ash tray. Thats what Ill do if I ever have money for bags.

Thats what I should have done. Next time I will build one to fit between the framerails just behind the axle. Where would you put your filler neck?

That's what I'll be working on in the next month, plenty of pics to come. I'm looking through street rod catalogs for a gas door suitable for the bed floor. I'll let you know if I find anything.

Im going to have either a door like Greg stated or just have it flush mounted to the bed floor with a flat area around it.

COOL truck......welcome. My setup is very similar but I have a four way system. A digital gauge might fit in the ashtray if you put the switches somewhere elso. Late model trucks have a nice little overhead console that looks perfect for putting some gauges in also.
