I have this set up in my 67 Camaro and I used to drag race with the car 400+ horsepower with no issues. You really can't tell any difference and it's cheap to do.

So basically your using the solid side of the mount metal and the Bolts to make a safety in case the rubber was to give way. Because the Rubber in able to move over the bolts it still has the ability to dampen the vibration from the Motor. I get it and that is a great work around. I figure 5/16s grade 8 bolts will give me all the safety factor I need.
